NCsoft game named "Best Massively Multi-Player Game"
at Spike TV Video Game Awards


Austin, Dec. 15, 2005 – City of Heroes®, published by NCsoft and developed by Cryptic Studios, came away a winner at last night's 2004 Spike TV Video Game Awards. City of Heroes was named the "Best Massively Multi-Player Game," finishing ahead of the other nominees in the category, Everquest II and Final Fantasy XI.

The Spike TV Video Game Awards, shown live last night and hosted by Snoop Dogg, was watched by an estimated 5 million viewers. For more info go to: http://www.spiketv.com/.

City of Heroes was also nominated for "Most Addictive Game," which was won by Burnout 3: Takedown.

Winners for the Spike TV Video Game Awards were determined by votes from Spike TV's Advisory Board, made up of a group of gaming industry experts, and consumer voting.

City of Heroes, which was recently named “2004 PC or Console Game of the Year” by Billboard Magazine, is available at most North American computer game retail outlets at a suggested retail price of US$39.99 that includes the first month of online game play. After the first month, players will be charged a monthly subscription fee of US$14.95.

The City of Heroes Collectors DVD Edition includes enhancements to the game, a limited edition Statesman™ HeroClix™ figure and other exclusive collectibles, is available at a suggested retail price of US$49.99. Sixty-day game time cards are also available at many North American retailers for a suggested retail price of US$29.99. Current City of Heroes subscribers can purchase the City of Heroes Collectors DVD Edition and receive 30-days of free play credited to their account. The game is rated Teen by the Entertainment Software Rating Board.
