Hailing from South Korea, the Wonder Girls—Sohee An, Yubin Kim, Sun Min, Yenny Park, and Lim Woo—are the first Korean act to have a song enter the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The group, composed of five triple-threat talents, is beginning to make its mark on pop culture. The Wonder Girls were introduced to America by MTV in 2007. They made their American performance debut in 2009 with shows in Los Angeles and New York. After they released an English version of their single, “Nobody,” the song entered Billboard’s Hot 100 in October 2009, making the Wonder Girls the first Korean group to enter the chart. The song became an international phenomenon, and the dance accompanying "Nobody" was done all over the world, evidenced by countless YouTube videos. In 2010, the Wonder Girls released their new single "2 Different Tears," which marked the first time any artist has simultaneously released its music worldwide in three languages: English Chinese, and Korean. Soon after that, Wonder Girls took on their first North American tour, which hit 20 cities in the U.S. and Canada.
