As part of our ongoing commitment to improving our service, we are phasing out the NCSOFT® Launcher and replacing it with streamlined, standalone NCSOFT Game Launchers for Aion® and Lineage II®.

NCSOFT Game Launcher for Aion - New!

If you do not already have Aion installed on your computer, download the new NCSOFT Game Launcher for Aion to install Aion, download updates, link to the Aion web site, and launch and play the game.

If you already have Aion installed, your original NCSOFT Launcher will automatically be updated to the new NCSOFT Game Launcher for Aion the next time you launch the game.

What's the difference between the NCSOFT Game Launcher and the NCSOFT Launcher?
The NCSOFT Game Launcher, now available for Aion (and available soon for Lineage II), is our new, streamlined launcher that:

  • simplifies the process of installing, launching and updating your games
  • includes built-in peer-to-peer functionality, and no longer requires installing Pando Media Booster
  • does not require .NET Framework 2.0

Do I need to install the NCSOFT Game Launcher to play Aion & Lineage II?
The NCSOFT Game Launcher is required to install, launch and play all currently available operating system versions of Aion. We will release the new launcher for Lineage II in the next few weeks - until then you can download the original NCSOFT Launcher to install, launch and play Lineage II.

Can I just use the NCSOFT Launcher for Aion?
No, to install, launch and play Aion you must use the new NCSOFT Game Launcher for Aion.

Why is the NCSOFT Launcher asking me to install Pando?
Pando Media Booster is a small application that accelerates the streaming and downloading of high quality media. The NCSOFT Launcher for Lineage II uses Pando to download media from multiple sources at faster speed, so you start enjoying your games faster. More information about Pando.
