Michael works to identify new opportunities to grow NCSOFT’s product portfolio. Michael previously led Electronic Arts’ acquisition and investment activity in F2P mobile and PC gaming. Prior to EA, Michael worked in the venture capital and private equity industries.
Chris is the Chief Development Officer of NCSOFT West Publishing and has more than 20 years of experience in the game industry. Prior to joining NCSOFT, Chris was the Head of Development for Kabam Entertainment, where he was responsible for guiding the company’s development portfolio, tracking studio production progress, ensuring projects met rigorous standards, and improving the quality of the company’s game output. Previously, he was a co-founder and chief operating officer for TapZen, a mobile game startup with seed funding from Tencent and Zynga, division chief operating officer at Zynga, and also worked at Electronic Arts and LucasArts. Chris received his degree in computer engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
John Doyle is the Studio Head for Carbine Studios and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of product development. Before NCSOFT West, he was a Director of Game Services at United Front Games, Executive Producer at Electronic Arts, and worked on the storied Need For Speed franchise, including leading the development of the Need for Speed World MMO. John also launched and led Magic: The Gathering Online while at Wizards of the Coast.
Chauncey is Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Orange County Site Executive for NCSOFT West. Chauncey has over 20 years of experience in the Human Resources field, ranging from gaming to banking. Prior to joining NCSOFT, he served as SVP, Human Resources at the independent gaming developer, Trion Worlds, Inc., in Redwood City, CA. Chauncey has also held roles as VP, Human Resources for Foundation 9 Entertainment, Digeo Inc., and VP, Organizational Capability at Washington Mutual Bank.
Eric is Chief Financial Officer of NCSOFT West. With over 20 years of progressive financial leadership experience, Eric has held a variety of key roles in the games industry, including serving as a Label CFO at Electronic Arts and CFO at Gazillion Entertainment. Prior to his time in the gaming industry, Eric worked at Business.com and Arthur Andersen. He graduated from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business and is a licensed CPA (inactive).
Miyon is currently the VP of Corporate Planning at NCSOFT West, where she develops the corporate level strategy and manages the resource plan across all organizations within the company. Before transferring to NCSOFT West in 2012, she worked at NCSOFT Corporation (HQ) in Seoul, Korea, leading the Corporate Strategy team in assisting NCSOFT subsidiaries in their operations and business turnaround. Previously she was a management consultant of global consulting firms for over ten years, counseling and evaluating management decisions for clients in various industrial sectors. Miyon traveled extensively with many client engagements in APAC and Europe. She holds an MBA from London Business School with a concentration in Corporate Finance.
Janet is the Senior Vice President and General Counsel for NCSOFT West where she oversees all legal affairs and corporate governance matters for the company. Prior to joining NCSOFT in 2013, she worked at several national and international law firms advising clients from start-ups to Fortune 500 in a variety of industries. Janet graduated from Boston University with her JD and MBA and received her LLM and undergraduate degrees from the University of Washington.
Tom is the Senior Vice President of NCSOFT West Publishing and has more than 20 years of experience in the game industry. Prior to joining NCSOFT, Tom was the COO for Aeria Games, where he was responsible for revenue, live operations, product management, mobile products, and more. Previously, he held leadership roles in both online and traditional game products at companies including Lucasarts, Electronic Arts, Turbine, Atari, and Sega. Tom received his undergraduate degree from MIT and his MBA from the University of California – Berkeley.
Mike is the co-founder and President of ArenaNet, and has been instrumental in positioning the studio as a premier developer of online worlds. Currently he oversees development of the award-winning and critically acclaimed Guild Wars 2.Prior to ushering in the industry-defining franchise, Guild Wars, O’Brien worked as a director and lead programmer at Blizzard Entertainment, where he led development of Battle.net and developed key systems for Diablo, Starcraft, and Warcraft III.
Richard is a 20-year veteran of the computer gaming industry and currently is SVP, Technology and Online Operations for NCSOFT West. Prior to joining NCSOFT in 2011, Richard held senior management positions with Atari, Cryptic Studios, Perpetual Entertainment, and Electronic Arts. His accomplishments include building and operating online platforms and game infrastructure, support, testing, and community services for many AAA MMO titles. His experience with MMO’s began with the original Ultima Online series, where he was responsible for building and operating online services in Japan, Korea, and the UK to service the game's more than 200,000 active subscribers.
